The Provincial Board of Canvassers has finally proclaimed the new set of Provincial Officials of the Province of Sultan Kudarat for the next three years.

Incumbent Governor Hon. Datu Suharto T. Mangudadatu, Al Hadj was re-elected and proclaimed for his 3rd term of service, garnering the total votes of 139,809 against his closest opponent Engr. Lino O. Montilla who got 111,114 votes. Results from the canvassing of the Provincial Board of Canvassers presided by Atty. Jay P. Gerada, Provincial Election Supervisor III, showed that Governor Teng Mangudadatu, an Independent candidate obtained 50.79% of the total actual  votes (275,272) while Montilla of Liberal Party earned 40.36%.

The PBOC also proclaimed the incumbent Congressmen of the 1st and 2nd Districts of the province – the Hon. Raden C. Sakaluran with 81,110 total votes and Hon. Arnulfo F. Go with 83,37 votes, respectively. The members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan – First and Second Districts were likewise proclaimed.

 The proclamation of the winning candidates was held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Provincial Capitol at 6:50 in the evening on May 16, 2013. Sultan Kudarat province has a total registered voters of 396,841 with only 69% voters turnout. (ppdo-sk)
