Sultan Kudarat, Philippines – The 7th Philippine-American Speleological Expedition has entered its third day of exploration in the Sisimen Awang Cave, located in Legodon, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. The expedition, a collaborative effort between the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat, the Sarangani Bay Area Outdoor Club Inc. (SBAOC) of the Philippine Speleological Society, and the Mindanao Cave Research Project of the National Speleological Society of the United States of America, continues its scientific documentation of the cave’s geological formations and biodiversity.

The expedition team is utilizing advanced mapping techniques and scientific equipment to gather data on the cave’s structure, geological history, and potential ecological significance. This information will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the region’s biodiversity and inform future conservation efforts.
